    51. Machines and parts. Breakdowns - Machines and parts. Breakdowns

Each machine needs a specific part to work.

For security reasons and to make sure you don't squander your cash, you can't buy a machine if you don't need it for your assignment (if it's not on the assembly instructions).
You can only buy them on the official market.
The sale price of machines and parts varies according to the price index, which depends on what farmers charge on their market. This basically means that farmers indirectly set the official product prices.
When your assignment is completed, your machines and their parts are automatically sold on
(500 Kekos per machine and 100 Kekos per part).

    Part: cling film.
    QUICKPACK. Packs.
    Part: box.

By default your slaughterhouse is connected to the FEB. If you want to connect your slaughterhouse to your batteries, just go to your "Machines" page. If your battery gets flat, your production line stops. Dave doesn't service batteries. The electricity consumption of a machine reaches a total of
40 Kekos per processed unit i.e. each time it's switched on and processes a whole pig or a half-carcass or produces blood sausage or lard!

Breakdown management and part wear rate:
If a machine breaks down, all the machines situated before it in the production line stop until the repairs are carried out. Those situated after the brokendown machine go on working. A red blinking light shows you which machine needs repairing. Note that several breakdowns can happen at the same time.
A breakdown occurs when the part wears out. So don't forget to buy spare parts on the market. You can store only 8 spare parts for each machine.
The number of parts stored in your slaughterhouse is indicated below each machine.
Warning: Pigs that get stuck on a production line for over 4 hours (due to breakdowns or power cuts) become unfit for human consumption and are disposed of.

You must buy servicing time ahead of breakdowns if you want Dave to repair your machines. If you don't buy servicing time before your machines and parts break down, Dave won't repair them.
To buy servicing time, go to the "Slaughterhouse" page.
There are two types of repair service:
"Dave 1 hour" and "Dave 2 hours". With the first one, for 200 Kekos, Dave will come to give you a hand within the hour, whereas with the second option that costs 100 Kekos, Dave will come within two hours.
Every time Dave comes for a repair, he also cleans all of your machines, this helps slowing down the wear rate of your machines (slowing down only!!). The older the machine is, the more often it breaks down. To find out about the wear rate of a specific machine, just hover your mouse over it.
WARNING: If you go to your "Slaughterhouse" page and notice a breakdown, you MUST repair the machine/part yourself (by clicking on the REPAIR link below the machine). Even if you have some servicing time left, Dave won't come if you're in the slaughterhouse or if you've been there.
