Increasing your litters' body fat but not body weight:
You can increase your litters' fat level without having them put on any weight. Just give them cod liver oil. It's available at the market. Your litters' fat level will increase by 0.5% next time you feed them.

Increasing your litters' body weight but not body fat:
You can increase your litters' body weight with a little bit of jam which you can find at the market. The litters' body weight will increase by 250g next time you feed them.

    Fortified food:
It's produced by mixing various cereals (wheat, corn and sunflower) together.
Your silos allow you to produce cereal mixes, which are richer. Thanks to them, your litters will gain weight faster.
Food mixes are more or less rich, depending on the mix. So you have to choose the mix you'll feed your litters on accordingly.
You can also sell your cereal mixes at the market if you want to give the opportunity to Level 1 and 2 farmers to get their hands on some fortified food.

    - Wheat/sunflower mix
    Fax index: + 0,8%
    Possible weight gain: 2kg/2.5kg/3.5kg

    - Wheat/corn mix
    Fax index: + 1.3%
    Possible weight gain: 2kg/2.5kg/3kg

    - Corn/sunflower mix
    Fax index: + 1,1%
    Possible weight gain: 2kg/2.5kg.

Adding a vitamin pill to your pigs/sow's feed guarantees that they'll put on the maximum weight.

Weight and fat gain with potatoes, cabbage and beetroot:
    - Potatoes:
    Weight gain: + 3kg/+ 3.5kg/+ 4.5kg
    Fax index: + 0.6%

    - Beetroot:
    Weight gain: + 3kg/+ 3.8kg
    Fax index: + 0.5%

    - Cabbage:
    Weight gain: + 2.5kg/+ 2.6kg/+ 2.8kg
Fax index: - 0.8%. Yes, it's not a mistake!! Cabbage works as a natural cleansing agent and so gets rid of body fat (for litters only). Yet, it doesn't prevent your animals from gaining a little weight.

In order to make your own fortified food, go to your "Silos" page and choose the type and quantity of food mix you'd like to produce. The machine will automatically put it into bags. There are two bag sizes:

    - The small bags of mixed cereals:
    wheat/sunflower
    wheat/corn
    corn/Sunflower

    - The large bags of mixed cereals (they have a capacity of 20 small bags):
    wheat/sunflower
    wheat/corn
    corn/sunflower

The bags of mixed cereals you produce can be either sold at the market or stored into the appropriate silos.

Producing bags of fortified food - examples:

01.With the wheat and the sunflower I have in my silos, I decide to make 23 bags of W/S mix. The machine will produce one large bag and 3 small bags of W/S. Then I choose to sell everything at the market, so I must set a price for the large bag on one hand and for the small bags on the other.
02.With the corn and the sunflower I have in my silos, I decide to make 10 bags of C/S mix. The machine will produce 10 small bags of C/S. Then I choose to sell them all at the market, so I must set a price per small bag.
03.With the corn and the sunflower I have in my silos, I decide to make 30 bags of C/S mix. The machine will produce one large bag and 10 small bags of C/S. Then I choose to sell the large bag at the market - for which I set a price - and to store the 10 small ones into a silo. So I need either an empty silo or a C/S silo. If I use an empty silo, it'll then get labelled "C/S".

    The water trough:

Your sow also drinks water, so you mustn't forget to fill its water trough every day.
You can fill it by ticking the box which is right next to it: it'll cost you 1 Keko.

Food tastes so much better with water... so don't forget to fill your animals' water troughs. They'll be so happy that they'll gain a little more weight!

    Examples:
    No water + standard food + vitamin + straw = 1.5kg
    Water + standard food + vitamin + straw = 2.5kg
    No water + corn + vitamin + straw = 2kg
    Water + corn + vitamin + straw = 2.5kg
    No water + W/S + vitamin + straw = 4kg
    Water + W/S + vitamin + straw = 4.2kg
